Optional website analytics

We use optional Google Analytics measurement to understand visits to our homepage, referring websites, engagement, and clicks on our product, contact and email links. An email-link click tells us a link was clicked, not whether you sent an email.

Google receives cookie identifiers, browser/device information, activity and approximate location inferred from your IP address, and uses analytics cookies to recognize visits. We send the homepage address without query strings, and only the referring website’s origin. We do not send your email address or message content in our analytics events. Advertising features and Google signals are disabled.

For visitors identified by our host as in the US, basic homepage analytics is on unless you opt out or send a Global Privacy Control signal. For other or unknown locations, we do not load the Google Analytics tag or send analytics events until you accept. You can decline without affecting your use of the website. Use “Analytics preferences” on the homepage to change your choice. Withdrawing permission stops future collection and removes this site’s analytics cookies; it does not erase data already received by Google.

We use our hosting provider’s approximate country information to choose how to present these preferences. US visitors can opt out using the footer; other or unknown locations receive a compact choice prompt. We do not send a Google request to determine your location. Global Privacy Control keeps analytics off even if a previous choice allowed it. If we cannot retrieve the applicable policy, analytics stays off.

We remember your choice in your browser for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies are configured to expire after 180 days without extending their expiry on each visit. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current visit. An unreadable or expired saved choice keeps analytics off until you make a new choice.

Withdrawing permission does not automatically delete historical reports. Contact us for access or deletion requests and other applicable privacy rights. Cookie expiry is separate from retention of data already received in Analytics reports. The property is configured to retain event data for two months and user data for 14 months, with the user-data period resetting on new activity. These settings do not set a deletion deadline for aggregated reports.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical request information needed to serve and protect the website. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include and use it to respond.
